GRUPO ORTIZ consolidates its presence in Colombia with a second concession awarded from the ANI.

The Sisga Transversal Project will mean an investment of more than 225 million euros and a concession term of 25 years.

The National Infraestructure Agency, a function of the Colombian Ministry of Transport, has awarded GRUPO ORTIZ, through its Colombian subsidiary, the concession under the PPP scheme for the Sisga Transversal Motorway.

The Sisga Transversal Project will mean an investment of more than 225 Million Euros and a concession term of 25 years.

GRUPO ORTIZ is part of the winning consortium under the name Conexion Vía Centro Oriente SPV alongside the companies KMA Construcciones S.A. and Obresca S.a.

Revenues from this concession amount to 2.15 billion euros, with a concession term of 25 years.

The fundamental purpose of the project -titled Sisga Transversal, is the consolidation of the existing Sisga transversal corridor (Sisga-Macheta-Guateque-San Luis de Gaceno-Aguaclara) with works including refurbishment, relaying and attention to critical points to guarantee good traffic flow through this corridor.

Existing routes witin the Project  have a total estimated length of one hundred and thrirty seven kilometres (137 Km) and straddle the departments of Cundinamarca, Boyacá and Casanare.

This is the second concession awarded to GRUPO ORTIZ in Colombia, reinforcing its position in the country as the top Spanish construction company in terms of revenue and the ninth in the country overall.
