Within Grupo Ortiz, energy is a strategic area with great growth potential in the international markets. Grupo Ortiz has three main business in this sector:
Our contracted portfolio for 2015 is 342 million euro. Among our projects, worthy of note are the Horus I Photovoltaic Power Plant (50 MW) in Chiquimulilla, operative since February 2015, which will be extended by the Horus II Photovoltaic Power Plant (30 MW), and the contract for the construction of a 35 MW Photovoltaic Power Plant in Marcovia, Honduras, which opened on 3 June 2015.
Recently, it has added to these projects the construction and subsequence O & M of the 50MW Solar Photovoltaic Plant "Uribe Solar" in Chile, 3 photovoltaic plants of 20 MW, 1 MWp and 500 Mkw in Japan and 10MW in El Salvador.
The aforementioned projects, carried out under EPC contracts, have allowed GRUPO ORTIZ to become the largest construction group in Central America for contracts of this type and one of the largest in all of Latin America.
